CoatCareLog

CoatCareLog is a mobile + web app that helps people maintain outerwear (wool coats, puffers, rain shells, leather) so it actually lasts. Users create a simple “coat passport” by scanning the care label and receipt, then log wears, weather exposure, stains, and cleanings. The app generates practical care schedules (re-proofing DWR, de-pilling, dry-clean intervals, leather conditioning) and stores warranty/repair info. It also offers a local repair and cleaning directory with price ranges, turnaround times, and user ratings, plus a “repair vs replace” calculator based on cost-per-wear. This isn’t glamorous, but it’s useful: most people either over-clean expensive coats or neglect them until they’re ruined. The MVP focuses on tracking, reminders, and finding reliable repair/cleaning options—no fantasy features that require huge brand integrations.
