CoatClock is a mobile + web app that helps pet owners prevent painful matting and skin issues by turning grooming into a simple, trackable routine. Users create a pet profile (coat type, age, activity level, last groom, allergies) and get a realistic schedule for brushing, bathing, nail trims, ear cleaning, and de-shedding. The app includes a “mat risk” check-in: quick photos and a few questions generate a risk score and specific next steps (e.g., use a slicker brush, line-brush behind ears, book a pro groom within 7 days). It also tracks tools used, product reactions, and reminders tied to weather and shedding seasons. For groomers, a lightweight client portal lets them send post-visit care plans and product recommendations, reducing repeat mat-shaves and complaints. It’s not glamorous, but it targets a common, expensive problem: owners waiting too long.
