CodeCheckr

CodeCheckr is a web + desktop app that flags likely building-code issues early, directly from schematic floor plans and basic project inputs. Users upload a PDF/DWG (or export from Revit/ArchiCAD), trace or auto-detect rooms/doors/egress paths, and select jurisdiction presets (IBC baseline + local amendments you configure). The app outputs a plain-English risk report: egress travel distance warnings, door swing conflicts, corridor width concerns, occupant load estimates, and a checklist of items to confirm with the AHJ. It’s not a replacement for a code consultant; it’s a fast “red flag” layer that prevents expensive redesign cycles. The product focuses on transparency: every warning links to the specific rule source and assumptions used. Teams can comment, assign fixes, and track “code risk” status across iterations.
