CommsFallback is a mobile + web crisis response communications app designed for the ugly reality: during incidents, SMS trees break, email is ignored, and Teams/Slack are down or inaccessible. It provides a pre-approved, role-based notification and check-in system that can deliver messages through multiple channels (push, SMS, voice) and automatically escalates when people don’t respond. The app includes offline-ready incident playbooks and a lightweight “status board” so leaders can see who is safe, who is responding, and which sites are impacted. It’s not a full emergency management suite; it’s a focused layer that keeps communications and accountability working under stress. An AI assistant can draft incident updates from templates and logs, but humans stay in control with approvals and audit trails.
