CompostLog

CompostLog is a mobile + web app for small organic farms and market gardeners to track compost piles with the minimum paperwork needed to stay consistent and audit-ready. Users log pile builds (inputs, ratios, volumes), temperature readings, turnings, moisture notes, and curing dates. The app flags when a pile is out of compliance with common organic standards (e.g., insufficient time/temperature), and generates simple batch records you can hand to a certifier or keep for internal QA. It also helps prevent the real-world problem: wasting labor on compost that ends up immature, anaerobic, or contaminated. This is not a “pretty gardening” app—it's operational recordkeeping that fits muddy boots: offline-first, quick-entry, and designed for one-handed use in the field. Optional AI assists by suggesting corrective actions (turn, add browns, add water) based on logged temps and notes, but the core value works without it.
