ConfessCoach

ConfessCoach is a mobile app (with optional web companion) that helps Catholics prepare for Confession with clarity and restraint. It guides users through a brief, Church-aligned examination of conscience, then generates a concise, private “confession outline” (not a script) that fits typical confessional time. The app includes guardrails for scrupulosity: it limits repetitive checking, nudges users toward spiritual direction when patterns appear, and avoids obsessive detail. It also supports different states of life (teen, single, married, clergy/religious) and common pastoral situations (long time away, returning to the Church). An optional AI mode can summarize the user’s notes into a short, respectful outline and suggest relevant Catechism references—without pretending to replace a priest. Everything is designed for offline-first privacy, with no social feed and no parish directory.
