ConsentCraft

ConsentCraft is a web + mobile app that helps clinics and hospitals create, manage, and capture procedure consents that are actually understandable and defensible. It provides specialty-specific consent templates (e.g., endoscopy, cataract, joint injection), auto-fills patient and procedure details from the EHR, and generates a plain-language summary alongside the legal text. Patients can review on their phone, watch short explainer clips, ask questions asynchronously, and sign with an audit trail. Staff get a dashboard that flags missing fields, language needs, and expiring consents, reducing day-of-procedure chaos and cancellations. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used to rewrite clinician-entered risks/benefits into patient-friendly language and to detect inconsistencies (e.g., wrong laterality, missing alternatives), but final wording remains clinician-approved. It’s not glamorous, but it removes a constant operational headache and reduces documentation risk.
