ConsentGenome

ConsentGenome is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps individuals and research programs manage genomic data consent like a living contract. Users can see exactly which datasets (VCF/FASTQ summaries, phenotype forms, survey data) were shared with which labs, biobanks, or third-party processors, under what terms, and for how long. It provides one-click revocation workflows, exportable audit trails, and standardized consent templates aligned to common research and clinical language. For programs, it offers a participant portal, consent versioning, and an API to sync consent status into data access committees and storage buckets. This is not a “blockchain fixes everything” pitch: it’s a practical compliance and trust tool that reduces admin overhead and participant drop-off. It succeeds only if it integrates cleanly with existing research pipelines and IRB processes instead of trying to replace them.
