ConsentKey

ConsentKey is a web app (with optional mobile patient portal) that adds a missing layer to Master Patient Index workflows: verifiable consent and identity provenance. Instead of only trying to algorithmically match records, it captures and stores who asserted the identity, when, under what evidence (ID scan, portal login, SMS verification), and what data-sharing consent applies. It integrates with existing MPIs via HL7 v2/ADT and FHIR Patient/Person links, then flags high-risk merges and cross-site links that lack sufficient proof or violate consent rules. The product focuses on operational reality: hospitals already have an MPI, but they struggle with governance, audits, and “why did we merge these?” questions. ConsentKey provides an audit-grade trail, a lightweight rules engine for consent constraints, and a queue for identity stewards to resolve exceptions without touching the core MPI vendor system.
