ConsentKit

ConsentKit is a mobile + web app for friends-with-benefits situations where the biggest risk is misaligned expectations. Users create a private “agreement” with a partner covering boundaries (sleepovers, exclusivity, PDA, texting frequency), safer-sex preferences, aftercare, and what ends the arrangement. Both people must confirm each section, and the app highlights mismatches before anything is “active.” It includes a lightweight check-in flow (weekly or after meetups) to update comfort levels, plus a discreet “pause/stop” button that sends a respectful, prewritten message to reduce awkward confrontations. This isn’t therapy and it won’t magically fix messy relationships; it’s a structured communication tool that prevents the common failure mode: assumptions. Monetization is subscription for advanced templates, reminders, and multi-partner agreements, with strict privacy defaults and optional local-only storage.
