ConsentLedger

ConsentLedger is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps clinics and health systems manage patient consent for electronic health record data sharing across labs, specialists, payers, and third-party apps. Instead of burying consent in PDFs and scattered EHR notes, it creates a time-stamped, auditable “consent ledger” tied to patient identity, scope (what data), purpose (why), recipients (who), and expiration. It generates patient-friendly consent summaries, supports granular opt-in/opt-out, and provides a simple API to push consent status into existing EHR workflows without trying to replace the EHR. It also flags “consent drift” when a data request exceeds what was authorized, reducing compliance risk. This is not glamorous: it’s paperwork and governance made less painful, with clear logs that stand up during audits and disputes.
