Context Switch Tax

This is a web + desktop productivity app that measures how much time and money you lose to context switching across tools like Slack, email, Jira, and your browser. It runs a lightweight desktop agent that tracks app/window focus changes, identifies task boundaries, and uses simple rules plus optional AI classification to group your activity into projects. Every time you bounce between tasks, it calculates the "tax" in minutes and estimated cost based on your hourly rate. Instead of another to‑do list, it gives you brutal, quantified feedback: daily and weekly reports showing how much deep work you actually got, how often you broke it, and which apps are sabotaging you. It also lets you set guardrails (e.g., max Slack checks per hour) and shows you exactly how much those violations cost you in lost focus. This is not a feel‑good productivity toy; it’s a mirror that shows how much of your day you’re burning.
