ContextLock

ContextLock is a desktop app (Windows/macOS) that reduces the cost of context switching by capturing “work snapshots” and restoring them on demand. Instead of just tracking time, it bundles the exact state you were in: open apps, specific windows/tabs, file paths, clipboard, and a short user note of what you were about to do next. When you get interrupted (Slack ping, meeting, urgent bug), you hit one hotkey to save a snapshot and optionally start a timer for the interruption. When you return, another hotkey restores the workspace and shows a 15-second “re-entry card” with your last note, top 3 next actions, and any pending timers. It’s a traditional app with light AI: optional local summarization of your last few notes into a single re-entry prompt. The goal is not perfection—just fewer minutes lost reloading your brain.
