ContractTrace is a web and desktop app focused on one thing: bulletproof document traceability for teams handling critical files (legal, finance, compliance, construction, pharma, etc.). Instead of yet another generic cloud drive, it sits on top of your existing storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, Box, network drives) and creates an immutable, human-readable activity ledger for every important document. It tracks who viewed, edited, downloaded, forwarded, exported, or printed a file, and reconstructs a clear timeline of changes and approvals. Think of it as a black box flight recorder for your contracts, policies, and regulated documents. The app uses AI to summarize complex activity logs into simple narratives (“This contract was edited by X, approved by Y, then sent externally to Z”) and to flag suspicious behavior (e.g., mass downloads before someone resigns). It doesn’t try to replace your DMS; it gives you visibility, accountability, and audit readiness that most existing tools pretend to offer but rarely deliver in a usable way.
