ContrastPilot

ContrastPilot is a web app (with a Figma plugin) that audits visual hierarchy on real screens and design comps. Upload a screenshot or import frames from Figma, then run quick “attention tests” that approximate what stands out first: contrast heatmaps, element saliency ranking, and a step-by-step reading order guess. It flags common hierarchy failures (too many primary actions, weak headings, competing colors, low contrast CTAs, dense clusters) and outputs a prioritized fix list tied to UI components. It also generates a shareable report for stakeholders with before/after comparisons and measurable targets (e.g., CTA should rank top-3 by saliency). This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional rules for accessibility/contrast plus AI vision models for saliency and layout understanding. It’s not magic—results are probabilistic—but it’s fast enough to catch obvious hierarchy mistakes before usability testing.
