CookCalib

CookCalib is a mobile + web AI app that helps home cooks and small food businesses calibrate their ovens and stovetops for consistent results. Most recipes assume “350°F means 350°F,” but real ovens run hot/cold and cycle wildly, causing underbaked centers and burnt edges. The app guides users through a 10-minute calibration using a cheap probe thermometer (or a supported smart probe), then builds a “heat profile” for each appliance: average offset, cycling amplitude, recovery time, and hot-spot map. When you pick a recipe or enter target doneness, CookCalib adjusts temperature, rack position, and timing based on your specific kitchen. It also flags when preheat is insufficient and when convection actually helps. The MVP focuses on baking/roasting (where variability hurts most), with simple recipe imports and repeatable “golden settings” per dish.
