CookieBouncer

CookieBouncer is a browser extension (desktop first, mobile later) that automatically handles cookie consent banners with predictable, user-controlled rules. Instead of just hiding banners, it actively selects “Reject all” (or the closest equivalent), toggles off non-essential categories, and saves your preference per site. It includes a “site safety” mode that detects when rejecting cookies breaks login, checkout, or video playback and offers a one-click temporary exception. A lightweight dashboard shows which sites attempted to set trackers, what was blocked, and where exceptions were granted—useful for privacy-minded users and teams. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional rules handle known CMPs (Consent Management Platforms), while an on-device model interprets unfamiliar banners and maps buttons/toggles safely. The goal is less annoyance, less tracking, and fewer broken pages than current ad-block style solutions.
