CookieClaw

CookieClaw is a browser-based privacy tool that automatically handles cookie banners and consent popups with a strict, user-defined policy (e.g., reject all non-essential, allow only functional, or allow per-site exceptions). It detects common consent frameworks (IAB TCF, OneTrust, Cookiebot, custom banners) and clicks the least-invasive option, then records what was shown and what was chosen in a tamper-evident local log. The app also flags “dark pattern” designs (pre-checked boxes, confusing button hierarchy, forced scroll) and can generate a simple report you can export for complaints or audits. This is a web app + browser extension (Chrome/Firefox/Edge) with optional desktop companion for encrypted backups. It’s a combination traditional app + AI: rules-first automation with AI-assisted banner classification for weird custom popups.
