CookieLedger
CookieLedger is a privacy “receipt” app that turns the invisible web tracking economy into something you can actually understand and control. It runs as a browser extension plus a companion mobile/web dashboard. As you browse, it logs third-party requests, cookies, fingerprinting signals, and data-sharing chains, then summarizes them in plain language: who collected what, for what purpose, and how often. You can one-click block specific trackers, auto-expire cookies by site category, and generate a weekly privacy report (useful for individuals and small teams). It also flags risky patterns like session replay scripts, excessive permissions, and suspicious redirect chains. This isn’t a magic anonymity tool; it won’t stop everything, and some sites will break. The goal is practical, transparent control with minimal hassle, not perfection.
