CookMode

CookMode is a mobile + web recipe player built for the moment you’re actively cooking, not browsing. It converts any recipe URL into a clean, step-by-step “cook screen” with big buttons, timers, and voice control. The app auto-detects ingredients and quantities, lets you scale servings, and creates a synchronized timeline so steps and timers don’t get lost. It also supports “messy hands” interactions: wake-word voice commands, screen-on mode, and quick swaps (e.g., substitute yogurt for sour cream) without rewriting the whole recipe. Users can save personal notes per recipe (what pan, what temp actually worked) and share a “my version” link. This is not another recipe discovery feed; it’s a practical execution tool that works with recipes people already use from blogs, books, and family docs.
