CookOrFreeze

CookOrFreeze is a mobile + web app that turns “food at home” into a simple set of decisions: cook today, freeze for later, or toss. You snap a photo of what you bought (or import grocery e-receipts), and the app builds a realistic “use-by” plan based on typical spoilage timelines and your household schedule. It generates a short weekly cook list, plus freezer prep steps (portion sizes, labeling, thaw times) so food doesn’t die in the freezer. It also supports a lightweight inventory: not every item, just the high-waste ones (produce, dairy, meat). The AI component suggests 3–5 recipes that match what’s expiring and your constraints (time, diet, equipment), but it’s designed to be useful even if the AI guesses wrong. The goal is fewer wasted groceries, fewer last-minute takeout orders, and less decision fatigue.
