CookShift

CookShift builds weekly cooking plans based on how much time and energy you actually have, not an idealized lifestyle. You set constraints (work shifts, commute, kid pickup, budget, dietary rules, kitchen tools), and it generates a realistic plan with short prep blocks, leftovers intentionally reused, and grocery lists that minimize waste. It also includes “fallback nights” for when plans collapse, with pantry-friendly recipes and takeout-avoidance options. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps generate and adapt plans, while the core value is the scheduling logic, constraint handling, and repeatable workflows. Brutal truth: recipe apps are saturated and most people quit after two weeks. This only has a chance if it genuinely reduces decision fatigue and makes weeknights easier without requiring perfection or constant manual input.
