CoreChain is a mobile + web app for mining and exploration teams to manage drill core and geochemical samples with strict chain-of-custody. Field techs scan QR codes on sample bags/boxes, capture GPS, photos, timestamps, and required QA/QC metadata (blanks, standards, duplicates). Labs or dispatch staff confirm receipt, flag discrepancies, and produce an auditable timeline that reduces lost samples, relabeling, and costly re-assays. The web dashboard provides real-time status by hole, batch, and lab, plus automated exception reports (missing intervals, weight outliers, broken seals). It’s not glamorous, but it targets a boring, expensive operational leak that happens constantly—especially with contractors, remote sites, and multiple labs. AI is used narrowly: auto-reading handwritten tags from photos and detecting likely labeling errors, not “predicting ore bodies.”
