CoreSample

CoreSample is a mobile-first field geology logging app that replaces messy notebooks and inconsistent spreadsheets. It lets geologists capture standardized observations (lithology, grain size, structures, alteration, weathering, sample IDs) with GPS, photos, and quick pick-lists designed for one-handed use. Offline mode is the default, with later sync to a web dashboard for QA/QC, exports, and team reporting. A lightweight AI assistant can suggest lithology terms from photos and auto-generate a clean interval description, but it never overwrites user input and always shows confidence. The goal is boring reliability: fewer transcription errors, faster turnaround from field to report, and consistent data across crews. It’s not trying to “predict geology”; it’s trying to make daily logging less painful and more auditable for exploration, environmental, and academic fieldwork.
