CostGauge is a mobile + web app that calculates and monitors your true cost of car ownership in one place: payment, insurance, fuel/charging, maintenance, repairs, tires, registration, parking, tolls, depreciation, and resale value. It connects to your bank/credit card transactions to auto-categorize car-related spend, then asks a few quick confirmations to stay accurate. It also tracks odometer and service intervals, estimates upcoming costs based on your model and mileage, and shows a simple “$/mile” and monthly all-in cost. The app flags abnormal spikes (e.g., insurance jump, fuel spend surge) and suggests specific actions: shop insurance, adjust driving, schedule maintenance before it becomes a repair. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional tracking plus AI-powered transaction categorization and cost forecasting.
