CostPulse

CostPulse is a web app (with optional Slack alerts) that monitors big-data spend and performance across Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and AWS. It ingests query history, job metadata, warehouse/cluster usage, and storage growth, then flags the few things that actually move the bill: inefficient queries, mis-sized warehouses, zombie clusters, and exploding partitions. It auto-generates “fix tickets” with concrete actions (e.g., add clustering key, rewrite join, cap concurrency, schedule auto-suspend) and estimates savings with confidence ranges. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for reliable metering and governance; AI to summarize root causes, propose safe optimizations, and draft PR-ready SQL changes. It’s brutally practical: you won’t beat native tools on depth, but you can win by being cross-platform, opinionated, and fast to value for teams drowning in multi-cloud data costs.
