CostSentry

CostSentry is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams bot) focused on monitoring cloud spend anomalies in near real time, not generic infrastructure metrics. It ingests billing and usage data (AWS CUR, Azure Cost Management exports, GCP Billing) and correlates it with recent deploys, tag changes, and resource spikes to explain “why the bill jumped” in plain language. The product’s core is fast, opinionated alerting: sudden spend increases, idle-but-expensive resources, runaway autoscaling, forgotten snapshots, NAT gateway surprises, and cross-region traffic. It generates a short incident-style report with suspected root cause, affected accounts/projects, and a prioritized fix list. This is not a full FinOps suite; it’s a narrow, high-signal monitoring layer that teams can adopt in a day, then expand with policies and budgets as they mature.
