CostSox is a web-based SaaS for public-company finance teams to govern cloud spend with board-approved policies and SOX-ready evidence. It connects to AWS, Azure, and GCP billing plus key procurement/ERP systems to define enforceable guardrails: budget thresholds, approval workflows, tagging standards, reserved instance/commitment rules, and exception handling. Every policy change, approval, and spend anomaly is logged into an audit trail designed for internal controls testing (who approved what, when, and why). A forecasting module produces CFO-friendly outlooks by business unit and product line, highlighting material risk, variance drivers, and scenarios (baseline, growth, cost-down). Finance can publish monthly “cloud spend controls” reports for Audit Committee review and export evidence packages for auditors. The product is built for high scrutiny environments where cloud spend is financially material and uncontrolled usage creates compliance and earnings volatility risk.
