CostSplice

CostSplice is a web app (traditional + AI) that connects to Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, and AWS to pinpoint exactly which datasets, jobs, and teams are driving spend. It builds a cost lineage map: from warehouse bill → query/job → table/partition → dashboard/feature → owner. The AI layer summarizes anomalies in plain English, suggests concrete fixes (partitioning, clustering, materialized views, caching, query rewrites), and estimates savings with confidence ranges. It also enforces lightweight governance: required cost tags, owner assignment, and automated alerts when a new pipeline or dashboard causes a cost spike. This is not another generic observability tool; it focuses narrowly on “who caused the bill and how to reduce it” with evidence you can show to engineering and finance. Expect some manual mapping at first; the product wins by making that mapping fast and reusable.
