CovenantIQ is a web app (with optional Excel add-in) that automates debt covenant tracking and compliance reporting for PE-owned portfolio companies and their lenders. Users upload credit agreements, amendments, and monthly financials; the app extracts definitions, builds the covenant calculation logic, and produces a lender-ready compliance certificate package with audit trails. It flags breaches early, explains which definition or add-back caused the issue, and tracks amendment history so teams stop arguing over “which version is right.” This is an AI + traditional app: AI handles document parsing, definition mapping, and anomaly detection; deterministic rules handle the actual math and reporting. Brutal reality: this is not a consumer app and sales cycles are real, but if you can prove accuracy and security, it becomes sticky infrastructure because nobody wants covenant surprises or manual certificate prep ever again.
