CoView

CoView is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that lets parents co-watch short kids videos with built-in “talk prompts” and hard safety rails. Parents choose a channel pack (animals, science, stories, crafts), set a daily time budget, and the app plays only pre-reviewed videos from trusted sources plus licensed creators. During playback, CoView occasionally pauses with one-tap discussion prompts (“What do you think happens next?”) or mini challenges (“Find three triangles in the scene”), turning passive watching into light interaction. A parent can join live from another room via audio-only “coach mode” to keep kids engaged without handing over a phone. The app includes a simple weekly report: time watched, topics, and any skipped/flagged content. Monetization is subscription with family profiles; no ads, no algorithmic rabbit holes.
