CrashSentry
CrashSentry is a desktop app (with an optional lightweight device agent) that continuously captures, decodes, and organizes embedded crash evidence from field and lab devices. It ingests core dumps, fault registers, RTT/UART logs, and watchdog reset reasons, then symbolicates them against uploaded ELF/map files to produce a readable crash timeline and stack trace. It also fingerprints crashes to de-duplicate recurring issues and highlights the top offenders by firmware version, board revision, and feature flags. This is not a magic “debugger replacement”: it won’t fix bad firmware for you, and it can’t recover data you didn’t instrument. But it will drastically reduce the time wasted chasing non-reproducible faults by making every crash actionable and comparable. Teams can export reports for Jira/GitHub issues and keep an auditable history of stability across releases.
