CreditRelay

CreditRelay helps shoppers convert unused store credits and gift card balances into a single, usable checkout balance across participating merchants. Users connect email receipts or forward credit notifications; the app detects eligible credits, verifies ownership, and offers two options: (1) one-tap use at checkout via a browser extension/mobile wallet pass, or (2) cash-out to “Relay Balance” at a small discount (merchant-funded where possible, otherwise user-paid). The product focuses on the messy middle: partial balances, expiring credits, and scattered merchant policies. It also gives merchants a retention-friendly alternative to cash refunds by letting credits stay in-network while still feeling flexible to customers. Realistically, the hard part is merchant participation and compliance; without a decent merchant network, it’s just a tracker. Start with Shopify/Woo merchants and a tight vertical (apparel/beauty) to make it viable.
