CreditTrail

CreditTrail is a web app (with optional mobile view) that helps colleges and universities reduce lost credits during transfers, program changes, and cross-institution enrollment. It ingests degree requirements, course catalogs, and historical equivalency decisions, then generates a clear, auditable “credit pathway” showing what will count, what won’t, and what evidence is needed. Advisors can run scenarios (change major, add minor, transfer in/out) and produce a student-facing plan with estimated time-to-degree and cost impact. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI assists with mapping likely equivalencies and flagging conflicts, but final decisions stay with institutions. The product focuses on workflow and governance—versioning, approvals, and documentation—because that’s what breaks in real schools. Done right, it saves students time and schools retention revenue.
