CrispShift

CrispShift is a mobile app (iOS/Android) plus a lightweight web dashboard that calibrates air-fryer recipes to the user’s specific machine and real-world conditions. Most air-fry apps fail because times and temps vary wildly by brand, basket size, wattage, preheat behavior, and even how full the basket is—so users get burned food or soggy results and stop trusting recipes. CrispShift starts with a 5-minute calibration: users run two quick test cooks (e.g., frozen fries and chicken nuggets) and the app learns a “heat profile” for that unit. From then on, any recipe is automatically adjusted with a confidence score, flip/shake reminders, and batch-size scaling. It also supports “salvage mode” when things go wrong (too pale, too dry, smoking) with step-by-step corrections. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: traditional timers and conversions, plus AI to personalize adjustments and troubleshoot outcomes from photos and quick questions.
