CrossCheckr

CrossCheckr is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for plant breeding and plant genetics teams to plan crosses, track pedigrees, and catch identity errors before they contaminate seasons of work. Users build crossing blocks, assign parents, generate labels/QR codes, and log pollinations, harvests, and sample IDs. The app flags common failure points: duplicate IDs, impossible pedigrees, missing parent records, inconsistent naming, and sample-to-plot mismatches. It also imports/export CSVs compatible with typical breeding workflows and can attach genotyping results (e.g., SNP array or GBS outputs) to individuals for quick “does this look like the right family?” sanity checks. This is a traditional app with a small AI component that suggests likely mismatches and highlights outliers, but it does not pretend to replace lab validation. The goal is fewer expensive mistakes, not flashy analytics.
