CrossLens

CrossLens is a web app (with a lightweight desktop companion) that helps researchers run interdisciplinary literature discovery without drowning in irrelevant results. You paste a draft abstract, grant aims, or a set of keywords, and it maps your topic into “concept clusters” across disciplines (e.g., methods, datasets, theories, and common proxies). It then surfaces papers from adjacent fields that use similar constructs under different terminology, highlights transferable methods, and generates a short “translation layer” explaining how each field talks about the same idea. The app also builds a living glossary and citation graph you can export to Zotero/Overleaf. This is an AI app plus traditional workflow tooling: the AI does semantic matching and summarization; the product wins or loses on curation controls, provenance, and exportability. Expect adoption only if it saves hours per week and doesn’t hallucinate.
