CrossScribe
CrossScribe is a web app (with optional browser extension) that helps interdisciplinary teams quickly align on what a paper means across fields. Users upload a PDF or paste a DOI, then the app generates a structured brief: core claim, methods, assumptions, data limits, and “what this implies” for adjacent domains (e.g., policy, clinical, engineering). It also creates a shared glossary that translates jargon into plain language and maps concepts to equivalent terms in other disciplines. Teams can annotate the brief, assign questions, and export a one-page “alignment memo” for meetings or grant writing. This is an AI + traditional app: AI drafts the brief and glossary, while humans review, edit, and approve. It’s not a magic research engine—quality depends on the source paper and user oversight—but it can cut the time wasted in cross-discipline misunderstandings.
