CrowdHalo

CrowdHalo is a mobile AI + traditional app that helps people maintain personal boundaries in crowded places without confrontation. You choose a “comfort radius” and context (commute, gym, queue, bar). Using on-device sensors (Bluetooth proximity, ultra-wideband where available, and motion patterns), the app estimates when someone is consistently encroaching and sends discreet haptic alerts. It also offers quick, non-awkward scripts and body-language tips tailored to the situation (e.g., “Excuse me, could I step through?”). For friends, it can optionally share a temporary “stay close” mode so groups don’t get separated while still avoiding strangers. It’s realistic: it won’t magically measure exact distance in all environments, so it focuses on repeated proximity patterns and user-confirmed events to improve accuracy. Privacy is central: no audio recording, no public maps, and most processing stays on-device.
