CrowdPulse

CrowdPulse is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that predicts subway crowding by station, platform, and train car in near real time. It combines official GTFS-realtime feeds (where available), anonymized device motion/location signals (opt-in), and user reports to estimate how packed the next 2–3 trains will be and which entrances/exits are least congested. The app gives riders a simple “best move” recommendation: wait for the next train, walk to a nearby station, switch lines, or board at a specific car position for faster exits. It also includes accessibility-aware routing (elevators, step-free paths) and incident alerts filtered to what actually impacts your trip. This is an AI + traditional app: AI for crowding inference and prediction, traditional for routing, alerts, and UX. Monetization is realistic via a low-cost subscription for power users and B2B analytics for venues/employers.
