CueCurfew

CueCurfew is a mobile + browser extension parental control that focuses on short-form video feeds (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels) where traditional filters struggle. Instead of only blocking apps or channels, it enforces “content curfews” and “topic budgets” (e.g., no prank/violence after 7pm, max 20 minutes of gaming content daily). It uses on-device and server-side AI to classify videos by topic, intensity, and manipulative patterns (rage-bait, sexualized thumbnails, shock content) and then intervenes at the moment of scroll: blur, require a parent PIN, or swap to a safer alternative. Parents get a weekly digest showing what was attempted, what was blocked, and why, with simple controls to approve exceptions. It’s realistic: it won’t catch everything, but it meaningfully reduces exposure without forcing parents to micromanage every channel.
