CullingPilot

CullingPilot is a desktop + mobile companion app that speeds up the most hated part of photography: selecting keepers from hundreds or thousands of near-duplicates. It ingests a folder (or a Lightroom Classic catalog export), groups similar frames, and ranks them using sharpness, eye focus, blink detection, motion blur, and composition heuristics. You review in a fast, keyboard-first interface that shows the “best of the burst” first, then lets you accept/reject and auto-propagate decisions across the group. Exports back to Lightroom as XMP ratings/flags, plus a simple client-proof set if needed. This is an AI + traditional app: AI handles similarity and quality scoring; the workflow is built around human final judgment. Realistically, it won’t replace a photographer’s taste—but it can eliminate 60–80% of the repetitive comparisons.
