CurbSense

CurbSense is a mobile + web navigation companion that answers a painfully specific question: “Where can I legally stop right now?” It overlays curb regulations (no stopping, loading zones, time windows, permit-only, street sweeping) onto your route and suggests the nearest compliant pull-over spots for pickups, deliveries, rideshare, or quick errands. The app combines city open data where available, user-submitted curb photos, and partner feeds from fleets/parking operators to keep rules current. It also provides arrival guidance: which side of the street, best approach direction, and a countdown timer for time-limited zones. This is not a full Google Maps replacement; it plugs into existing navigation and reduces last-200-meter confusion that causes double-parking, missed pickups, and tickets. Reality check: coverage will start city-by-city and won’t be perfect, but even partial accuracy is valuable when it prevents one ticket.
