CurlMatch

CurlMatch is a mobile AI + traditional app that helps people with textured, wavy, curly, and coily hair find products that actually work for their hair profile and routine. Users answer a short quiz (porosity, density, strand thickness, scalp oiliness, climate, styling goals, sensitivities) and optionally upload a few photos. The app generates a simple routine (wash, condition, style, refresh) and recommends a small, constrained set of products with “why this fits” explanations. It then tracks results over 2–4 weeks with quick check-ins (frizz, definition, dryness, shedding, itch) and adjusts recommendations based on what’s working. The business model is affiliate revenue plus a paid tier for routine coaching, ingredient alerts, and ad-free recommendations. Brutal truth: this only works if you’re strict about limiting choices and you build trust by being transparent about affiliate bias.
