CurrentProof

CurrentProof is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for researchers, offshore operators, and insurers who need defensible answers about ocean circulation at a specific place and time. Instead of yet another pretty map, it produces an “audit packet” for currents: data sources used (e.g., Copernicus, NOAA), model versioning, uncertainty ranges, and a reproducible workflow that can be rerun later. Users select a region/time window, choose datasets/models, and generate standardized outputs: current vectors by depth, drift trajectories, and confidence intervals, plus a citation-ready methods summary. An AI assistant helps non-experts pick appropriate datasets and flags common pitfalls (bad temporal alignment, coastal grid artifacts, missing depth layers). Realistically, it won’t beat specialized ocean modelers at bespoke simulations; it wins by making routine current justification fast, consistent, and defensible for reports, claims, and compliance.
