CurtailIQ

CurtailIQ is a web app (with optional mobile alerts) for renewable operators and aggregators to forecast, quantify, and monetize curtailment and flexibility opportunities for grid balancing. It ingests SCADA/EMS time series, weather forecasts, and market/constraint signals to predict when assets will be curtailed or constrained and recommends actions: shiftable loads, battery dispatch, or bidding specific flexibility blocks. This is an AI + traditional app: AI models predict curtailment risk and expected value; deterministic rules enforce operational limits and compliance. The product is brutally practical: it won’t “beat the market,” but it can reduce surprise curtailment, improve bid confidence, and provide auditable post-event settlement reports. The MVP focuses on one region/ISO and a narrow asset set (solar + battery or wind + battery) to avoid integration sprawl and unrealistic promises.
