CushionMap

CushionMap is a mobile + web app (traditional app with light AI) that turns your emergency fund into a concrete, time-bound plan tied to your actual risk. You connect accounts (or enter numbers manually), pick what “emergency” means for you (job loss, medical, car, rent), and the app calculates a realistic target (1–6 months) based on fixed bills, income volatility, dependents, and local cost-of-living. It then creates a weekly “safe-to-save” amount that won’t bounce your checking account, plus a laddered storage plan (checking buffer, high-yield savings, T-bills) so the money is accessible but not too easy to spend. The AI component writes a plain-English action plan and warns when your plan is fantasy (e.g., saving $600/mo on $200 cashflow). It focuses on behavior: autopilot transfers, friction to withdraw, and weekly check-ins.
