CushionMap
CushionMap is a mobile + web app that turns your messy financial reality into a clear emergency-readiness score and an actionable plan. It connects to your bank accounts (optional), categorizes essential vs nonessential spend, and calculates true “months of runway” under different scenarios: job loss, medical bill, car repair, rent increase. It then builds a step-by-step emergency fund plan that’s actually feasible, including safe cut suggestions, bill due-date alignment, and a “minimum survival budget” you can export. The app also tracks liquid access (checking/savings), semi-liquid (brokerage), and locked funds, and warns when your cushion is fake (e.g., credit card float). An AI assistant explains tradeoffs in plain language and can generate a one-page crisis checklist you can follow when stressed. It’s not a budgeting toy; it’s a preparedness dashboard.
