CutContinuity

CutContinuity is a desktop + web app that scans your edit and flags likely continuity problems: mismatched props/wardrobe, jumpy eyelines, inconsistent screen direction, broken 180° line, and suspicious time-of-day shifts. You ingest an XML/EDL from Premiere/Resolve/FCP plus proxy media; the app builds a shot timeline, extracts keyframes, and compares adjacent shots using visual embeddings and simple rules (e.g., left-to-right motion flips, gaze vectors, dominant colors, recurring objects). It outputs a “continuity report” with timecode, confidence, and side-by-side frames, plus a checklist you can share with directors/producers. This is an AI + traditional app: AI for detection and clustering, traditional logic for editorial rules and reporting. It won’t replace a script supervisor, but it can catch the obvious mistakes fast—especially in fast-turnaround social, YouTube, and indie work where continuity is often ignored until it’s too late.
