CutListFX

CutListFX is a desktop + web app that turns an edit timeline into a practical sound design to-do list and starter session. You import an EDL/XML (Premiere/Resolve/FCP) plus a reference video; the app detects cuts, scene changes, and basic on-screen actions, then generates a timecoded cue sheet (whoosh, impacts, cloth, doors, ambience swaps) with priorities and suggested layers. It can also auto-create a Pro Tools/Reaper session template with markers, track naming, and routing so designers stop wasting hours on setup. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for timeline parsing/session export, AI for shot/action tagging and cue suggestions. It won’t replace a sound designer’s taste, but it will remove the boring, error-prone prep work that kills schedules on indie films, ads, and YouTube series.
